Los Angeles, 1949. Ruthless, Brooklyn-born mob king Mickey Cohen runs the present on this city, reaping the ill-gotten positive aspects from the medication, the weapons, the prostitutes and — if he has his approach — each wire wager positioned west of Chicago. And he does all of it with the safety of not solely his personal paid goons, but additionally the police and the politicians who’re below his management. It’s sufficient to intimidate even the bravest, street-hardened cop… besides, maybe, for the small, secret crew of LAPD outsiders led by Sgt. John O’Mara and Jerry Wooters who come collectively to attempt to tear Cohen’s world aside.
