Malasartes e o Duelo com a Morte
“Malasartes e o Duelo com a Morte” is a comedy concerning the adventures of Pedro Malasartes, a conventional Ibero-American folklore character that lives by swindling. The trickster, Malasartes, must face two nice enemies: Próspero, who will do something to impede such a lazy, cowardly individual like Malasartes from relationship his sister, Áurea; and Demise incarnated, who needs to take a trip after two thousand years amassing lives and intends on tricking Malasartes into assuming his tedious job. If Próspero’s need to strangle Malasartes and Demise’s plan for him was not dangerous sufficient, our hero nonetheless has to take care of the witch, Parca Cortadeira and Demise’s assistant, Esculápio, who each need for themselves Demise’s job. Now with characters from this world and one other united towards him, Malasartes must use all of his wit to get out of this confusion unhurt.
