The Japanese dog
When a flood strikes Costache’s village in Romania, his spouse Maria and all of their possessions are swept away. Now in a village shelter, Costache refuses to promote his land and transfer onward. He has plans to re-build and refuses assist and recommendation from his neighbors. The village is all he has left, apart from an estranged son now residing in Tokyo. However when his son Ticu hears of his mom’s loss of life and father’s plight, he arrives unexpectedly together with his Japanese spouse and son to deliver Costache again residence with him. This is not going to be easy. Ticu fled Romania with many points left unresolved, the largest being his relationship together with his father. Now there’s a complete new household for Costache to cope with, previous scores to settle, and painful goodbyes to say.
